Beijing Hutongs June 2015

These are photos taken one Sunday afternoon in June 2015 when walking around some hutongs in Beijing (one of my favorite places to vist).  I have been to these hutongs and photographed them quite a few times before.  What struck me this time was how many have been demolished or were being demolished.  They are now half gone.  I don't know what the story is, only that something has been lost in this process.  Taken with my little  Petri Color 35D and Rollei Retro 400s film in light that ranged from harsh full sun to dark storm clouds,  Scanned myself (I'm on a steep learning curve).
